A competent dog walker should arrange a meet and greet with you beforehand to address any queries and finalise any necessary paperwork and arrangements. It is crucial for you to trust your dog walker and their abilities. The meeting allows you to evaluate whether the dog walker is a good match, whether you have faith in them, and how they interact with your dog.

 I  will walk your dog with other dogs, but only if a behavioural assessment allows it. I know the dogs I walk well, including their breed and individual personalities. So, when introducing them to new dogs, I already know who would be the perfect playmate for them.

I pay close attention to the dogs' behaviour during the walk and quickly notice if they enjoy the company of another dog. I will find another walking partner if they seem anxious or hesitant. I always ensure that the dogs walking together are a good match.

So, as you know, I only walk up to four dogs at a time. This ensures that each dog receives the attention and care they deserve. 

If your dog returns from an adventure with muddy paws, I can use my mobile shower to wash off the dirt and towel them down before they return inside. Before entering your home, I always remove my boots to prevent any mud from being tracked inside.

Insurance plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of everyone involved in the dog walking process, including the dog walker, the dog, and the general public. Safety is paramount to me. 

I am covered by Protectivity Insurance, which provides me with public liability coverage in case an animal causes an accident, injury or damages someone else's property. It also provides coverage for the care, custody and control of animals in case they are lost or injured while under my care. Additionally, it covers non-negligent accidents that may occur to an animal while in my care and loss of keys in case they are misplaced.

My standard Pet Business Insurance policy covers various services, including dog walking, grooming for dogs and cats, hydrotherapy, training, behaviourist services, boarding, microchipping, minding, sitting, taxi, and transportation.

 If you are currently training your dog, it may not be helpful for someone else to introduce new commands and techniques that could confuse your furry friend. I promise to follow any training methods you have already set up, and I'll keep you updated about your dog's progress.

If I cannot walk your dog due to illness or vacation, I will help you seek a trusted replacement.

I have ample experience handling different types of dogs and can quickly identify their mood based on their behaviour. 

Being an animal lover, I have worked with medium to large-sized dogs. Currently, I am pursuing additional studies in dog behaviour to enhance my knowledge and skills. 

I am particularly passionate about rescue dogs and have personal experience with anxious dogs. I am committed to my professional development and constantly strive to improve my skills in this field.

The British College Of Canine Studies has certified me in Pet First Aid.

Yes. 

I will provide you with a service agreement that clearly outlines all the details, including the cost of services and the schedule. You must read this carefully before booking my services and ask any questions you may have to avoid any confusion later on. 

During our meeting, I will also conduct a behaviour assessment of your dog by observing them and asking you questions about their behaviour, such as how they react to other dogs. This helps me better understand your dog's needs and tailor their walks to their needs.

I'm sorry, but I cannot walk your dog during its mating season. This may pose a risk to your dog, other animals and people.

I would be happy to take your dog for a walk without a leash, but assessing if your dog is good for off-lead walking is essential. 

Your dog's safety is my top priority, so I always begin by walking them on a long lead until they can be trusted to come back to us on recall. If you would like me to help you improve your dog's recall so they can be walked off-lead, I am happy to do so. 

Please know that I will always choose the safest option for your dog, whether on or off the leash.

I like to ensure your dog is safely transported to and from their walk.  I drive a 1983 VW Camper van named Oliver, which has a maximum speed of 60 miles per hour, but only when going downhill.! 

Your dog will be secured using a harness during transportation, and I regularly clean the van with a disinfectant spray to maintain hygiene. The van is equipped with curtains to ensure the privacy of shy dogs, and it also offers a 360-degree view, providing a comfortable and secure ride.

 You can count on me to provide regular updates, photos, and peace of mind.

You must inform me at least 48 hours in advance if you need to cancel or change your booking to avoid additional fees. This is respectful to all parties involved.

If your dog's vaccinations are not up-to-date, I am still willing to walk your dog.

The GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation. It is a law that helps safeguard your privacy and secure your personal data. I will only keep your personal information for as long as it is required for the purpose for which it was first collected. I store all customer data in my iCloud and never share it with third parties.
